Quick Guides & FAQ
How does client-side privacy work?
When you drop or select a document in Folix, your browser reads the binary bytes directly into device RAM. Zero bytes are uploaded to remote cloud servers or third-party databases.
How do electronic signatures work?
You can draw, type, or upload an image signature in the Editor or Sign Hub. For legal compliance, Folix also supports generating X.509 cryptographic digital certificates with RSA-2048 keys and SHA-256 hashing.
What is True Irreversible Redaction?
Unlike basic black highlight overlays that can be undone, True Redaction completely replaces the target pixel and vector bounding box with solid black rectangles, sanitizing sensitive metadata prior to file export.
Technical Architecture
Folix is engineered with strict client-first isolation tiers to eliminate cloud dependency:
Handles viewing, page reordering, merging, splitting, annotations, forms, cryptographic signing, and local WebAssembly OCR inside your browser without network transfer.
Maintains temporary in-memory document state with zero persistent local tracking. Sessions can be purged anytime in Settings.
