Privacy Policy
Folix is built on one inviolable principle: your documents are processed strictly in your browser and never leave your device.
Client-Side Architecture
All PDF rendering, merging, splitting, compression, annotations, forms, and redactions execute exclusively inside your web browser via WebAssembly and Web Workers.
Local OCR & Processing
Optical Character Recognition uses client-side neural network models via Tesseract.js. No third-party AI APIs or cloud services receive your scanned documents.
Local Cryptographic Keys
Digital signing uses in-memory Web Crypto and node-forge. RSA 2048-bit keypairs are generated and destroyed strictly in browser RAM. Zero private keys are ever transmitted.
True Irreversible Redaction
Our True Redaction engine purges underlying vector text streams and font glyphs permanently. Content cannot be recovered by text extraction, inspection, or decompilation.
Threat Model & Operational Boundaries
Because Folix runs entirely in your local user agent, security boundaries follow browser sandboxing:
- Ephemeral Memory: Closing your browser tab immediately frees memory and destroys any in-memory document buffers, temporary rasterizations, and unsaved changes.
- Browser Sandboxing: The application does not read or touch any file on your computer without an explicit file picker action initiated by you.
- Zero Telemetry: No analytics pixels, telemetry trackers, or marketing beacons are bundled or executed.
